On the subject of dragons and art, this photo shows one of many ice sculptures seen during my travels around Japan in 2019.
Visiting Japan was a huge dream of mine as I associate so many amazing things with this country (karate, SEGA, sumo wresting, onsen, etc). From an art perspective though I longed to see the sculptures at Japan's annual Sapporo Snow Festival- which is where this photo was taken.
The snow festival, and Japan generally, was everything I had hoped for and more. My husband and I often talk fondly of our memories in this truly beautiful and welcoming country and have every intention of revisiting.
