Priley Riley, Gold Raised Drawing, May 2021

This bearded dragon drawing is in gold marker pen on thick ivory card, raised over a gold marble effect background. To finish, I've used a box frame in keeping with the 3D nature of this work and for a modern feel.

Priley Riley, Creative Documentation, May 2021

I hope everyone is enjoying the long bank holiday weekend!

Last year, I created a book on the walks my husband and I had taken. Each double page shows the basic details of that walk (date, location, etc), a map of that route, and photographs.

The aim of this book, which I had printed for my husband, was to show that even at a time where we couldn't travel, we could still appreciate the nature on our doorstep. The book serves as a reminder of what we did achieve- the beautiful things we did see and the feelings of hope this inspired- during various stages of UK lockdown.

With the warmer weather, we've started going on our walks again. I look forward to being creative by capturing these walks through photography and creating a new book summarising our 2021 walks.

To quote Vincent van Gogh- "If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere".
